I'm so glad you are here!

One of the best things about being a trail guide is getting to know others on the journey. So let me share a little about myself.

HI,

I'm Jenn

You Are NOT Too Broken For God

In 2011, I was a nurse, wife, mom of 4 kiddos, and active church member living a typical life; until all the pieces started unraveling, leaving me to experience several years of panic attacks, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

Our family church had been in the middle of complicated issues and the unspoken "family rules" were not ready to be addressed.Ā  So when my marriage had BIG problems, I already recognized the lack of emotional safety.

Two years later, I walked into a support group afraid yet full of courage.Ā There I foundĀ Ā an element of hope and the freedom to experience the full measure of my grief.

Setting goals for myself to work toward, helped me focus on improving my nutrition and fitness. I participated in 5K runs, trained for the Bakersfield Marathon, and even trained for and crossed the Grand Canyon in a single day.

Learning involved unlearning a lot! I had to grow curious.Ā  I knew I believed in God, yet much of what I believed was being refined. Most of all I learned how to be honest with myself, God, and others.

Using evidence based practices for improving mental health alongside lifestyle and integrative medicine, and elements of spiritual direction, I have taken a simple drawing of three circles shared with me on one of my first counseling visits, to create a powerful understanding and practice of self care that supports your mental, physical, and spiritual health to allow for restoration and healing, that can sustain you through the hard times, as well as the simpler.

HOW DO YOU EVEN BEGIN TO KNOW WHAT YOU NEED?

You have been so busy doing the next thing, that you haven't given yourself space to recognize your own needs.
